ABOUT 
"His Pain, My Peace" is inspired by the symbolism of the cross. There are so many cross paintings and photos already in this world- so it has never been a desire of mine to make one for the sake of making one. The meaning behind a painting is what matters. 
 
This painting of a cross was inspiredly Isaiah 53:5 which says, "But he was pierced for your transgressions, and he was crushed for our inquiries; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."
 
In this image, an olive branch sits between three nails that would have pierced the hands and feet of Jesus. Three bright olives still cling to the branch. The number three was chosen just for its significance in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. While Jesus was the one to die on the cross, it was the Father's will and the Holy Spirit leading Jesus to fulfill the calling and make salvation available to mankind. It's a subtle yet strikingly beautify reminder that Jesus's sacrifice brought about our own peace with God. 
 
PRINT DETAILS 
Printed with a matte finish on Hahnemühle German Etching paper - a heavyweight, warm tone paper with a velvety soft-cotton texture. Print sizes include a white border around the image. SHIPPING
Small prints will be carefully packaged between an acid free protective cover and cardboard pads. Larger prints will be rolled and shipped in a mailing tube.
